The New York Edit

D & S

Casa Olivi, Marche, Italy

Ph: Jeroen Noordzij

Two architects from New York. A wedding planned the way they work — with intention, down to the last detail.

D & S didn’t have a mood board. They had a vision. Every element of this wedding at Casa Olivi was chosen, sourced, or made to order: the industrial-style table borrowed from a local restaurant, the custom ceramic vases handcrafted by a local artisan in dialogue with the florist, the white Panton chairs brought in specially, the terrace dressed with young cypress trees from a local nursery.

The dinner moved from the poolside to the stone interior of the villa — two different registers of the same evening. A DJ and a live music duo kept the pace. The cigar bar waited at the end of the table for those who knew to look for it.

No detail was accidental. No detail was visible as work. That is the only standard worth keeping.
